For reasons known only to themselves, Italians have decreed that Panettone can only be eaten at Christmas. This, in hindsight, was a mistake! It seems that they belatedly realised this. However, tradition weighing heavy on them, they can't bring themselves to have Panettone any time they want.
Their solution was to take the exact same dough, bake it in the shape of a Dove, put Almonds, Almond glaze, and sugar crystals on the top, and call it Colomba (the Italian word for Dove)! So, if you've loved eating our Panettone, our Colomba will totally hit the spot. Available in the same four flavours as the Panettone (it really is the same thing!): Venezuelan Chocolate Mount Vesuvian Apricot Sicilian Almond Classic (dried fruits).
