Our Story
Growing up half-Italian, my Christmas breakfast has been a generous slice of Panettone and a glass of Asti Spumante for as long as I can remember. And once I left home, I was perfectly happy with the better ones from supermarkets.
So, when my uncle and cousin in Treviglio, near Milan, started making artisan panettone in 2020, I was always going to get some to support them, I have to admit that I was sceptical that they would be that much better as to justify the price.
The first bite was enough to dispel that notion! The quality of the ingredients shines through in the flavours, and the 36-hour proving period of the dough results in the lightest and fluffiest text. It is honestly a different food to supermarket panettone, it's totally worth it!
That first Christmas, I gave a few slices away to people I knew to share the panettone love. I was, however, very surprised that the reaction was to ask if I could get some for them next Christmas! How could I say no to such a request?
After that, I realised that if I could get enough orders from people, I would, in essence, be getting my panettoni for free. That was a business model that I could get behind!
Since then, through word of mouth, more people each year have wanted some. And I can't say I blame them!
And that is how I, a software developer by day, has ended up being a part-time importer of fabulous Panettoni!
So, if you would also like to know just how good panettone can be, head to the product page and choose your pleasure. I will say though, that however many you think you want, order one more, you won't regret it!
